Eligibility Criteria | NBEMS Recruitment 2026

*Age Limit

Candidates must have completed 18 years of age as on the closing date of the online application. The upper age limit varies according to the post.

• Deputy Director (Medical): Not exceeding 35 years
• Junior Programmer, Junior Accountant, Junior Assistant: Below 27 years
• Stenographer: 18 to 27 years

Age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per Government of India norms. Full details on relaxation are provided in the official notification.

*Educational Qualification

• Deputy Director (Medical): A recognized Postgraduate Medical qualification approved under the Medical Council Act, 1956.

• Junior Programmer: B.Tech/BE/BCA/DOEACC (‘B’ or ‘C’ level) or a Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics with specialization in computers, or equivalent.

• Junior Accountant: Bachelor Degree with Mathematics or Statistics, or a Degree in Commerce from a recognized university. Candidates also need to qualify an examination as prescribed by NBEMS.

• Stenographer: Senior Secondary (12th or 10+2) along with stenographic skill of 80/30 WPM in Shorthand/Typing. Candidates will be required to qualify a test in General English, Shorthand and Typewriting.

• Junior Assistant: Senior Secondary (12th or 10+2) Examination passed from a recognized Board or University, along with proficiency in computer use including Windows/Network operating systems and LAN architecture.

Selection Process | NBEMS Recruitment 2026

For Deputy Director (Medical) and Junior Programmer, the Pattern and syllabus of examination will be announced separately on the NBEMS website.

The recruitment process for Junior Accountant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant posts will be conducted in two stages:

Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT)
Stage II: Computer Knowledge/Skill Test

Stage II: Computer Knowledge/Skill Test

• 100 marks
• Duration of 75 minutes
• Includes Data Entry, Word Processing, Computer Operation and Stenography as applicable to the post

There is no interview for these vacancies under NBEMS Recruitment 2026.. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of combined marks from Stage I and Stage II.
