Eligibility Criteria | PNB LBO Recruitment 2026
*Age Limit: Candidates must be between 20 and 30 years of age as on 1st July 2026.
*Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC-NCL: 3 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years
*Educational Qualification: Candidates must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution. Candidates must possess a valid mark-sheet or degree certificate confirming they are a graduate on the day of registration, and must provide the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation.
*Local Language: Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the local language of the state for which they are applying (Assamese or Bodo, for Assam). Candidates who have not studied the local language as a subject in 10th or 12th standard will need to appear for a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). This test is only qualifying in nature.
*Work Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of post-qualification work experience in Clerical or Officer cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the RBI Act, 1934.

Selection Process | PNB LBO Recruitment 2026
The selection process for the post of Local Bank Officer consists of four stages:
Stage I: Online Written Test

Stage II: Screening:
The online application and documents of written test qualified candidates will be scrutinised by the Bank prior to the Language Proficiency Test/Interview to check eligibility.
Stage III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
Candidates who have not studied Assamese or Bodo as a subject in 10th or 12th standard will need to appear for this test. It is qualifying in nature, and candidates who do not clear it will be treated as ineligible for final selection.
Stage IV: Personal Interview
All candidates shortlisted after the Online Written Test will be called for a Personal Interview of 50 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 45% (22.50 marks) for SC/ST candidates and 50% (25 marks) for other candidates.
