Gauhati University (GU) recently published a notification for recruitment of 01 Research Assistant in the Major Research Project titled “Cultural Heritage Market innovation: A Study of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Assamese Jeweler and Pathways to Sustainable Livelihood” supervised by Dr pallabi Borah (Project Director and Associate Professor) in the Department of Folklore Research, Gauhati University and 02 Mali (Grade IV) under the project “Strengthen Dr. H.K. Baruah Regional Botanical Centre, Gauhati University as Lead Garden” on purely temporary basis. Interested and suitable candidates are invited to apply.

GU Research Assistant and Grade IV Recruitment 2025 | Eligibility Criteria
- Research Assistant (01 Post)
- Qualification: Postgraduate in a Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks and NET/M.Phil./Ph.D.
- Desirable Qualification: (i) Hands-on experience in conducting fieldwork, including interviews and applying participatory research methods. (ii) Excellent academic English writing skills.
(iii) Demonstrated research capability through academic publications in high-quality journals.
- Mali (Grade IV): 02 Posts
- Qualification: Class VIII Passed.
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Plantation and propagation.
