NIT Silchar Recruitment 2025 | Eligibility Criteria

• Name of Post: Registrar
  • Age Limit: Not more than 56 Years.
  • Qualification: Masters’ Degree with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale.
  • Experience: Holding Similar Posts in Govt. institutions. At least 15 Years of Experience as Assistant Professor with Grade pay of Rs. 7000 and above OR 8 years of service in the Grade Pay of Rs. 8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with 3 years’ experience in educational administration (See Official Notification for further details).

• Name of Post: Librarian
  • Age Limit: Not more than 56 Years.
  • Qualification: Master’s Degree in Library Science/ information Science/Documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 points scale or at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale.
  • Experience: At least ten years’ experience as a Deputy Librarian in the library of technical University. (See Official Notification for further details)

• Name of Post: Assistant Registrar
  • Age Limit: Not more than 35 Years.
  • Qualification: Masters’ Degree with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale.

• Name of Post: Hindi Officer
  • Age Limit: Not more than 35 Years.
  • Qualifications: Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level Or Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
  • Experience: Three years’ experience of teaching in Hindi and English or research in Hindi or English under Central/State Governments/ Autonomous Body/Statutory Organizations/PSUs/Universities.

• Name of Post: Superintendent
  • Age Limit: Not more than 30 years.
  • Qualification: First Class Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University Or Master’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade with good Knowledge of Computer applications.

• Name of Post: Junior Hindi Translator.
  • Age Limit: Not more than 30 years.
  • Qualification: Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.

• Name of Post: Senior Technician
  • Age Limit: Not more than 33 Years.
  • Qualification: Senior secondary (10+2) with Science from a Government recognized board with at least 60% marks or Senior secondary (10+2) from a Government recognized board with at least 50% marks and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade Or Diploma in Engineering of three year’s duration in relevant field from a Government recognized Polytechnic.

• Name of Post: Senior Assistant
  • Age Limit: Not more than 33 Years.
  • Qualification: (10+2) from a recognized board with a minimum Typing speed of 35 words per minute and proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet.

• Name of Post: Junior Assistant
  • Age Limit: Not more than 27 Years.
  • Qualifications: (10+2) from a recognized board with a minimum Typing speed of 35 words per minute and proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet.

• Name of Post: Technician
  • Age Limit: Not more than 27 Years.
  • Qualification: Senior secondary (10+2) with Science from a Government recognized board with at least 60% marks Or ITI Or Diploma in Engineering from Polytechnic.

NIT Silchar Recruitment | How to Apply

1. Payment of Fees:
   • Go to SB Collect Portal of SBI.
   • Click on “Educational Institution” Category.
   • Select State as ‘Assam’.
   • On Search bar type “Online Fee collection account NIT Silchar”
   • Select the payment category as “Application fee for Non Faculty Recruitment 2025″
   • Now Fill up the form and Click “Next”.
   • Pay the Fees by UPI ID
2. Go to Useful Links Section below and Click on Apply Online Link.
3. Entering your E-mail, Name, Mobile then click on Register.
4. You will receive a password via mail.
5. Now Log-in with Email and password.
6. Fill out the Form.
7. Upload Documents.
8. Preview and Final Submission.
9. Save the Filled out Application.
10. Print the Filled out Application and send it to “The Registrar National Institute of Technology Silchar P. O. NIT Silchar, Cachar, Assam – 788 010” Along with documents like self attested documents and a Copy of transaction slip of the fees deposited.

***The Envelope should be A4 Sized and super scribed as “Application for The Post of…….” ****
