ASTU Recruitment 2025: Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Guwahati, has released a notification for recruitment of a System Operator and an Accountant on a regular basis. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply using the prescribed application form. The Application must reach concerned office on or before 27 november, 2025.

1. Name of Post: System Operator.

• Post Code: SO/01/2025.
• No. of Vacancy: 01 (UR).
• Pay Scale: Rs.14,00-60,500 +Grade Pay- Rs. 6,200.

2. Name of Post: Accountant.

• Post Code: AC/01/2025
• No. of Vacancy: 01 (UR).
• Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000-60,500 +Grade Pay- Rs. 8,000.

Eligibility Criteria | ASTU Recruitment 2025

*Age Limit (As on 01.01.2025) :

• System Operator: 18-40 years.
• Accountant: 18-40 years.

*Age Relaxation: As per the Govt. of Assam Rules.

*Educational Qualification:

• System Operator: Candidate must have diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from an AICTE and State Council for Technical Education recognised Institution. The Candidate should have exposure in using hardware and software in office environment, which is essential.

• Accountant: Candidates must be graduates in Commerce with a specialization in Accounting from a recognized university, with at least 50% marks in their academic qualifications. Additionally, candidates must possess working knowledge of computer software, including Accounting Software (Tally), MS Office, Excel, Page Maker, ERP, etc. with Minimum Three year experience of accounting as well as its record keeping in any Higher learning institution.

Selection Procedure & Syllabus | ASTU Recruitment 2025

1. System Operator: The selection will consist of a Written test followed by a computer skill test.

• Syllabus of Written Test:
  a) English Aptitude Test
  b) Computer Competency
  c) General Knowledge (about Assam, India, Current Affairs, Environment, International Affairs, etc. included)
  d) Numerical Ability and Logical Reasoning

2. Accountant: The selection will consist of a Written test followed by a skill test.

• Syllabus of Written Test:
  a) English Aptitude Test,
  b) Accountancy,
  c) General Knowledge including Assam, India, Current Affairs, Environment, International Affairs etc.
  d) Numerical Ability and Logical Reasoning.

   • Set the state filter to “Assam”.
   • Find the University under ‘Educational Institutions’ category.
   • Pay Application Fees.
   • Print the receipt.

3. Print the Application Form.
4. Fill out the form.
5. Attach Self Attested copies of Documents.
6. Place them in an envelope along with Fee receipt.
7. Envelope should be Superscribed as:
