SSC Constable Recruitment 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notification for the Constable (GD) Examination to recruit 25,487 personnel for vacant posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and for the post of Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. • Qualification: The candidate must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board.

• Domicile Certificate: Candidate must be an Indian citizen. Since vacancies in the CAPFs and Assam Rifles are allocated by State/UT/region, Candidate must also provide a domicile or Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) for the specific State or Union Territory they are applying from.

Selection process of SSC Constable Recruitment 2025 comprises 5 stages.

1. Computer Based Examination (CBE)
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
5. Document Verification 

Structure of Computer Based Exam

Physical Statndard Test (PST)

Candidates will be shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) based on their performance in the Computer-Based Exam (CBE).

1. Height

• Male: 170 cms
• Female: 157 cms

(Candidates from certain regions and ST Community are eligible for relaxation in the height standard)

2. Chest (Male)

• Un-Expanded: 80 cms.
• Minimum expansions: 5 cms.

(Few categories of candidates are allowed relaxation in chest measurement)

3. Weight: Weight must be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Physical Efficiency Test

To qualify, candidates must finish the race within the given time limits.

For Ladakh Region:

• Male: 1.6 Kms in 7 minutes.
• Female: 800 metres in 5 minutes.

For Rest of the Region:

• Male: 5 Kms in 24 minutes.
• Female: 1.6 Kms in 8 and 1/2 minutes.
