SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2026 | Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Head Constable (Steward / Veterinary / Communication): 18 – 27 Years.
• Head Constable (Electrician): 18 – 25 Years.
• Age Relaxation: OBC – 3 Years | SC/ST – 5 Years.

Educational Qualification

* Head Constable (Communication):

• 12th class pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board, or
• Three-year Diploma in Electronics / Communications / Computer Science / Information Technology from a recognized institute.

* Head Constable (Steward):

• 12th class pass from a recognized Board.
• Minimum 2-year Diploma in Catering and Kitchen Management from a Central or State Government recognized institute.
• Minimum 1 year working experience as a Steward in a minimum 100-bedded hospital recognized by Central or State Government.

* Head Constable (Electrician):

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board with 2 years work experience in the trade, or
• Certificate course from a recognized ITI or Vocational Institute with at least 1 year experience, or
• Two-year Diploma from a recognized ITI in the respective trade.

* Head Constable (Veterinary):

• 12th class pass with Science and Biology as main subjects from a recognized Board.
• Two-year Diploma in Veterinary and Livestock Development / Veterinary Stock Assistant Course / Animal Husbandry Course from a recognized institute.
