• No. of Posts: 01 (UR)
• Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000-49,000 +G.P- Rs. 6,200

2. Laboratory Bearer (Grade-IV)

• No. of Posts: 01 (OBC/MOBC)
• Pay Scale: Rs. 12,000-37,500 +G.P- Rs. 4,400

Eligibility Criteria | RTU Hojai Recruitment 2026

**Age Limit as on 01.01.2026:

Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age as on 01 January 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

The age will be calculated based on the School/Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card or Certificate issued by a recognized Board or Council.

**Educational Qualification

1. Library Assistant

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Diploma in Library Science is desirable.
• Desirable: Diploma in Computer Applications minimum 6 months duration from any recognized University or Institution.

2. Laboratory Bearer (Grade-IV)

• Minimum: HSSLC (Class 12) passed from a recognized school or institution.
• Desirable: Ability to handle electronic equipment including computer, photocopier, and management of electronic office communication systems within and outside the university.

Application Fee

Fee must be submitted as a Bank Draft in favour of Rabindranath Tagore University, payable at State Bank of India, Hojai Branch. The bank draft should be drawn on or after the date of publication of the advertisement and on or before the last date of submission.

Selection Procedure | RTU Hojai Recruitment 2026

1. For Library Assistant:

• Written Test (MCQ): General Knowledge (35 marks) + English (35 marks)
• Computer Proficiency Test: 20 marks
• English Writing Skill Test: 10 marks
• Viva-voce (Interview)

2. For Laboratory Bearer:

• Written Test (MCQ): General Knowledge (30 marks) + English (20 marks)
• Viva-voce (Interview)

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview/viva-voce.
