RBI Grade B Recruitment 2026: The Reserve Bank of India Services Board (RBISB) has released the official notification for Direct Recruitment for the posts of Officers in Grade ‘B’ across three cadres – General, DEPR (Department of Economic and Policy Research), and DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management) – in Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply online from 29th April 2026 to 20th May 2026. Candidates having a Graduation or Postgraduate degree from a recognized university can apply.

**Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India .
**Age Limit (as on April 01, 2026)**
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
**Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC candidates: 3 years
- PwBD (Gen/EWS): 10 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
- Ex-servicemen: 5 years
- M.Phil. holders: Upto 32 years of age
- Ph.D. Holders: Upto 34 Years of age
**Educational Qualification (as on April 01, 2026)**
*For Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)- General: Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) from a recognized university; OR Post-Graduation in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD). Correspondence/distance/part-time courses are not eligible.
*For Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR: MA/MSc in Economics or MA/MSc in courses such as Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Applied Economics, Econometrics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, and International Economics (where “Economics” is the main subject of the curriculum); OR MA/MSc in Finance (where “Finance” is the main subject). Minimum 55% marks from a recognized Indian or Foreign University (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).
*For Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM: Master’s Degree with a minimum 55% marks in Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Applied Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Econometrics, Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics or related areas; OR Four-year Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 60% marks in the above subjects. All from a recognized university approved by Government/UGC/AICTE (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Selection Process | RBI Grade B Recruitment 2026
Selection for RBI Grade B Recruitment 2026 will be done through Online/Written Examination in Phase-I and Phase-II, followed by an Interview.
*For Grade ‘B’ (DR) – General:
Phase-I (June 13, 2026) – Objective Type Online Exam – 200 marks – 120 minutes covering General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.
