Eligibility Criteria | IIT Guwahati Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification
- Sports Instructors: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or any graduate with a Diploma/Certificate in coaching from a recognized university, or participation in state/university-level sports competitions.
Desirable: Experience in Teaching/Coaching may be given preference.
- Water Polo Instructor: Candidate must be a Water Polo player at district/ state/ university/ national/ international level competition with 10+2/Certificate/Diploma in coaching, or Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) from a recognized university.
Desirable: Experience in similar institution of teaching/coaching may be given preference.
- Gymnasium Instructors: Bachelor Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) from a recognized university or 10+2 passed with Certificate/Diploma in fitness training from any recognized institute.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of service experience from a Govt. registered gymnasium/institute. Candidates with bodybuilding background may be given preference.
- Lifeguard : Must have a valid Lifeguard Certificate. Preference may be given to experienced candidates.
Duty Hours

The eligible candidates will be appointed for a period of 10 months, starting from August 2026 to May 2026, on a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 35,000/- per month. The period of engagement may be extended depending on performance and the requirements of Gymkhana Sports.
