IAF Agniveer Vayu: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released a recruitment notification for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026 (Non-Combatant Posts) under the Agnipath Scheme. Eligible and interested unmarried male Indian candidates may submit their applications offline in the prescribed format by either dropping them in the drop box or sending them via normal post. Applications must reach the concerned office by 1 September 2025.

IAF Agniveer Vayu Non-Combatant | Eligibility Criteria

*Age Limit: Maximum 21 Years of Age as on date of enrolment.

*Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates can apply for Agniveer Vayu (Non-Combatant). They must agree not to get married during the 4 year service period.

*Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation/10th from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT as on date of registration.

*Physical Standards

• Height: Minimum 152 cms.
• Chest: Minimum difference of 5 cm between contracted and expanded states.
• Weight: Must be Proportionate to height and age.
• Vision: 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/9 each eye.
• Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing.
• Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

Agniveer Vayu Non-Combatant Job Role

*Hospitality Stream: In this role, candidates have to handle all kitchen duties including cooking, food presentation, and kitchen management. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness, proper food storage, handling kitchen equipment, setting up dining areas, and serving meals.

*Housekeeping Stream: This role involves cleaning, grounds maintenance (hedge cutting, digging, gardening), and laundry/utensil washing. Additional duties include barber services (haircuts, shaving), tailoring (clothing repair, alterations), leatherwork (shoe repair, polishing), and handling office equipment.

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure of IAF Agniveer Vayu Non-Combatant Posts comprises a Written Test, a Physical Fitness Test, and a Stream Suitability Test.

Written Test (Phase I)

Phase II

*Physical Fitness Test-I (PFT-I): Only candidates who qualify in the written test will be eligible to appear for the Physical Fitness Test.

• Running: 1.6 km running to be completed within 6 minutes 30 seconds.

*Physical Fitness Test-II (PFT-II): Only candidates who qualify in PFT-I will be eligible to appear for PFT-II.

• Push-ups: 10 push-ups in 1 minute.
• Sit-ups: 10 sit-ups in 1 minute.
• Squats: 20 squats in 1 minute.

Phase-III

The Stream Suitability Test (SST) shall be qualifying in nature. Only selected candidates who pass both the written exam and PFT (based on merit ranking) will take this test.
