Eligibility Criteria | Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2026

*Age Limit

• For Stenographer Grade-II: 18-40 years. Age relaxation is also applicable as per assam government norms.

• For Chauffeur and MTS: 18 to 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable.

*Educational Qualification

Stenographer Grade-II: Candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university as on the date of advertisement, and must possess a Diploma or Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from an ITI, Polytechnic or any other recognized institute. Candidates must also have knowledge of Assamese, the official language of Assam, and must have a valid Employment Exchange registration number.

Chauffeur/Driver: Candidates must have a minimum qualification of Class X (HSLC) standard from a recognized board, must possess a valid LMV driving license issued by RTO, and must have a valid Employment Exchange Registration Number.

Multi Tasking Staff: Candidates must have a minimum qualification of Class VIII standard, Those who have passed HSSLC (Class XII) or above are not eligible to apply for this post, and must have a valid Employment Exchange Registration Number.
