CSIR JSA-JST Recruitment 2025 | Apply for 209 Posts
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Delhi, has released a notification for recruitment of 209 Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Junior Stenographer (JST) posts. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through the official CSIR portal. The main motive of this initiative is to fill the vacancies in its various institutes and Lab (CRRI, IGIB, NIScPR, NPL).

- Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Candidates Applying for this posts must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with good knowledge in computers and expert level typing speed.
- Junior Stenographer (JST): Candidates Applying for this posts must have Completed 10+2 or Equivalent Examination with proficiency in Stenography.

Selection Procedure
Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA):
There will be Written (CBT) exam consists of two papers and one computer proficiency test.

- Computer Proficiency Test:
Only candidates who have qualified written exam will be called for Computer proficiency test. Proficiency test comprises two segments: English typing (35 w.p.m) or Hindi typing (30 wpm). With a total time allocation of 10 Minutes.
Junior Stenographer (JST):
There will be one written exam consist of only One paper and a Proficiency test in stenography.

- Proficiency test in stenography
Candidate will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in english or hindi at the speed of 80 w.p.m. The candidate has to complete it in 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi).
(Note: Proficiency tests will be in qualifying nature.)

For Junior secretariat assistant 28 years is the age limit. And for Junior Stenographer post 27 Years is the age limit. Age relaxation is also applicable.
What is the fee amount?
Rs. 500/- for UR/OBC. Fees is exemted for rest of the categories.
