CSIR IICB Recruitment 2025 | Eligibility Criteria

*Age Limit:

  • Junior Secretariat Assistant– Maximum 28 Years.
  • Junior Stenographer-Maximum 27 Years.

*Qualification:

  • Junior Secretariat Assistant: Candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination or Equivalent. Additionally, candidate should have proficiency in computer type speed and in using computer as per the prescribed norms fixed by DOPT from time to time.
  • Junior Stenographer: Candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination or Equivalent. Additionally, Candidate should have proficiency in stenography as per the prescribed norms fixed by DOPT from time to time.

Selection Procedure

The Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) selection process:
Candidates must first pass Paper-I, a qualifying aptitude test that covers Mental Ability. Candidates who clear Paper-I will take Paper-II, which comprises English proficiency and general awareness; Paper-II scores determine final rankings. Candidates must also be able to type 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer. Verification of the documents is required for final selection.

The Junior stenographer selection process:
Candidates have to give single written exam (English, general awareness, and reasoning). Additionally, candidates must pass a stenography test that consists of transcription after 10 minutes of dictation at 80 wpm in Hindi or English. Only those who pass the stenography test are included in the merit list, which is created based on written exam performance. Verification of documents is necessary for final selection.
