CRPF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2026: The Directorate General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Ministry of Home Affairs, has released an official notification for 9195 vacancies for Constable (Technical & Tradesmen) and Constable (Pioneer) posts across 17 trades. * Important Note on Domicile: Vacancies for Constable (Technical & Tradesmen) are state/UT-wise – candidate can only apply for vacancies in the state where they hold a valid Domicile or Permanent Residence Certificate. The only exception is the Pioneer Wing (Mason and Electrician) – those 20 vacancies are on an All India Basis.

CRPF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2026 | Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (As on 01.01.2026)

• Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 Years (Born between 02/01/1999 and 01/01/2005).
• All Other Trades: 18 to 23 Years (Born between 02/01/2003 and 01/01/2008).
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 Years | OBC – 3 Years | Ex-Servicemen – 3 Years.

Educational Qualification

* Constable (Driver):

• Minimum Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized Board.
• Must possess a valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving License.
• LMV license holders are not eligible.

* Constable (Motor Mechanic Vehicle – MMV):

• Matriculation or 10th class pass from a recognized Board.
• 2 year ITI certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle from NCVT/SCVT + 1 year practical experience, or
• 3 year National/State Apprenticeship Certificate + 1 year practical experience.

* All Other Tradesmen (Cook, Tailor, Barber, Carpenter, Painter etc.):

• Minimum Matriculation from a recognized Board.
• Must be proficient in the respective trade.

* Pioneer Wing (Mason & Electrician):

• Matriculation from a recognized Board.
• 1 year experience in respective trade. ITI certificate preferred.

• Pay Scale: Pay Level-3 – Rs. 21,700 -69,100/-
• Additional allowances: DA, HRA, Ration Allowance, Transport Allowance, Medical Facilities, Uniform and other perquisites as per Central Armed Police Forces rules.

Selection Process

The selection process for CRPF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2026 consists of multiple stages and tests physical fitness.

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
3. Computer Based Test (CBT)
4. Trade / Skill Test
5. Document Verification
6. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

Final selection will be based on CBT marks, subject to qualifying all stages. Height and Chest relaxations are available for candidates from Assam, Northeast States, ST candidates and certain hill communities.
